This topic I am going to write about today is a very VERY important topic that I can only hope more people will read and share. I cannot emphasize this enough which is why I'm writing it first thing before even delving into the topic of discussion. With that being said, I also want to add that we are not doctors nor do we elude to such. The information I am sharing is based on my countless hours of research and our own personal experiences. We also believe in the practice of western medicine, but firmly take a stance that there is a time and a place for it and that it SHOULDN'T be made a lifestyle. (For example, taking cholesterol lowering or blood pressure medicines for life) YOU are more aware of what is wrong with you than you give yourself credit for. When we learn to trust our gut, our inner knowings FIRST, before knocking on the door of well rehearsed general practitioners, solutions may just be simpler, minor, cheaper and/or more attainable than we all thought.
And lastly, and importantly, please know that Bill and I are private people. The topic and experience discussed are being shared for health purposes and because we believe more people need to know this. No one wants to talk publicly about personal issues/experiences sometimes, but sometimes the uncomfortable brings the much needed awareness. When more people are made aware, the healthier our country as a whole can become!
So if you're ready, I'm ready...let's get talking about....
PARASITES

Some of you may really be into talking about them, some of you may have heard it brought up in social discussions or maybe even family discussions, and some of you may have only heard of them or know them by definition. Probably 99% of you associate them by another word...WORMS. But what I've learned over the years is that the same 99% don't believe we actually have them, let alone living inside our first-world-nation bodies, robbing/stealing nutrients from our cells, and creating havoc and ruin within our personal anatomy especially since we've all been treated with the bionics of western medicine. But if you are a rabbit hole diver or maybe one of the fed up few who found that western medicine isn't solving issues but rather creating more for you, then you, along with me and Bill, are the 1% that have found parasites are real and a VERY BIG DEAL to a majority of our health problems.
If you're anything like me, our first experience with parasites came with owning a dog. After bringing home that new puppy, it was off to the vet to get the first puppy shots, one of which was a de-wormer because 'puppies got worms from their momma's milk'. Sometimes we got to see the little rice-like worms in their poop and sometimes we got to see strands of spaghetti worms in their poop. Regardless of what we saw, we knew it was gross and only puppies got them. But oh how life is cruel. I could spend so much time here listing all the ways that parasites can enter our bodies, but I won't. It goes deeper than just walking barefoot in the yard and stepping in dog poop. You don't even have to step in dog poop! It's in our food (think pork, raw fish/sushi, raw and unwashed food), our WATER, lakes and pools. We also associate parasites/worms as those long 18 ft tapeworms that third world countries are infested with. Sadly, that is not the case and if you have a doctor that tells you it doesn't happen here, they are LYING. Parasites come in all shapes and sizes, most are protozoan (microscopic) so that's a plus if the thought of them makes your queazy. But they are in everyone! Although some have more than others.

So let me tell you of our story. Like I said above, I had done quite a bit of diving into the topic of parasites, but I started well before our first-hand experience. I was reading about parasitic findings, how some correlated with certain illnesses, diseases, and disorders, as well as where they were coming from. Bill and I had been making major changes in our grocery shopping and although the changes were good and eating more nutritional food was WAY better, we still never started with a clean (internal) slate. I was really wanting to do a parasitic cleanse (more for shits and giggles than anything) just to give us both a cleaner slate. However, knowing what I knew, we are talking about 50+ years of possible parasitic exposure! I had been wanting to try a particular cleanse I had been researching, but never got around to ordering it. And as fate would have it, the universe had other plans...
In 2023, after a couple years of eating pretty darn healthy, Bill was starting to have issues. The issues started with his knee being sore/inflamed. Of course we instinctively blamed age first just to top it with a dollop of his line of work. There were also days of fatigue that he couldn't seem to shake. Again, we blamed anything from age, to work, to weather, to sleep. Then one day he came home and said every limb hurt. His shoulders were killing him, his knees, his elbows...what the heck!? And all of them...at the same time... To top it off, he's not an Ibuprofen fan or medicine fan for that matter, but now we were finding him taking 4 tablets at a time....you can probably hear my cringe right about now if you listen hard enough. These pains would come and go, some days better than others, but they were still there.
Fast forward a couple of months to October. Our son had just gotten married a month prior and he was complaining that his stomach was really hurting. By his description to me, it sounded like he had an ulcer (as I know them all too well). He doesn't have a history of stomach issues so it was a little concerning, but he said it had started sometime in late summer. It would make sense it was an ulcer with the wedding planning and nerves, etc. so we chalked it up to that. However, after coming home from their honeymoon, I found myself getting a text from my new daughter in-law around midnight saying they were on their way to the hospital because his stomach was in a lot of pain. Turns out, they seem to think it was some gastro issues, not so much an ulcer, but gave him a couple of prescriptions. And then it gets crazy. A week later, Bill starts complaining of his stomach. Same issues as our son and all. Bloating, pain, constipation/diarrhea...this went on for almost 2 weeks. Finally I made him go to a local clinic one Saturday morning. He came out with the same diagnosis and a different prescription than my son's. He took it for a few days and that was it; he felt better and didn't want to keep taking anything. Two days after his clinic appointment something hit me and hit me hard! I couldn't move...literally. I hadn't felt this much pain in my stomach since childbirth. Neither my son nor Bill had this type of issue except when my son finally went to the hospital. Was this a bug? It was a few months for my son so I don't believe it was a bug. It was a couple of weeks for Bill, no fever, etc., so we don't feel like it was a bug for him either, but for me it was overnight and BAM. Fortunately he had his prescription that I of course took and it was gone in two days...not Bill's, his took at least a week.
Although the pain stopped for Bill, his stomach was never the same. For months he kept experiencing bouts of constipation and when he'd go, it was diarrhea. His stomach always felt bloated and never seemed to settle after dinner, no matter how little or much he ate. The fatigue was still there, the aches were as well. However, his knee inflammation seemed to have subsided a couple of weeks after eliminating coffee and peanut butter from his diet after I explained to him how toxic peanut butter is. But, all in all, he still wasn't right.
By March he had complained enough. I looked at him and said, I believe you have parasites. His face showed that he was no longer married to the NICE sweet girl he once knew...he was now married to a nut job....a conspiracy theorist herbal hippie nut job. I asked him if I could make him an appointment with my VOODOO and he said that was fine. And before you ask, Voodoo is the name that HE gave my specialist. A little back story: in 2015 I was itching all over my body and scalp and my eyes were swollen and I knew my body was a walking time bomb. We removed every ounce of carpet in our house, I re-washed every piece of material I could find (a million loads of laundry), bought Castile soap to cleanse my body, and rinsed my hair in vinegar...I was a hot mess. Then a friend of mine gave me the name and number of a local business that had helped a different friend's daughter who was on her death bed...literally! I immediately called and have been going there for all my health concerns ever since. If you are local, you may have heard of it: Covenant Natural Health. They practice muscle response therapy (Applied Kinesiology) which is non-invasive, and quite simply AMAZING. I can't recommend this form of health practice enough!!!! Please seek out someone in your area if possible!

Okay, so back to Bill. I got him in to see the Voodoo and as he was telling her all his issues, she was about to get started when I blurted out, "I think he has parasites". Of course being in her profession, she was not astounded by my hearty announcement and simply said, "I had already planned to check for that". Music to my ears... And so the testing began....he did have some adrenal issues, some heavy metals, but guess what! He also tested for parasites! I knew it! My gut was right! And he tested pretty heavy for the supplements, meaning, he was going to be taking some hefty doses. After we purchased the supplements, he was sitting in the car while I was driving. I hadn't seen what supplements he was given, but I told him that one of the bottles undoubtedly had to be a binder. He hadn't heard that before and asked me what it was. I explained that in my research, the supplements you are taking basically kill the parasites. However, when they die they can create a very toxic environment. The binder does just that, BIND. It grabs heavy metals and toxicities and helps to move them out of your body, flushing your system. Most binders are made of activated charcoal. And sure enough, he read one of the bottles (which has BINDER in small letters) and one of the main ingredients is activated charcoal. I think he was starting to think I'm not too much of a nut job as he initially thought! I also had to explain that the hard part is that your body is going to react to the toxicity. For some, they become tired, they may get headaches, upset stomach, their skin could start to itch/get a rash, and/or they may feel like they have the flu or got hit by a mac truck. At this point, I just wanted his stomach to feel better.
So for the next few days I was hounding him about his poop! This poor man hates talking about poop and here I am asking him all day long about his poop. But nothing was happening. I reminded myself and him that not all parasites can be seen by the naked eye. Matter of fact, most cannot! However, on day 10, life was about to get interesting...
At 9am on day 10, Bill called me to tell me he may be coming home early from work. I was a little shocked as he never calls in sick and 99% of the time sticks it out if he's feeling bad. This time was different he said. By the time he got to work that morning, he felt like he got hit by a mac truck....hmmmmmmm. I asked him if he remembered what I had said and he said he did, but feels like he may have gotten something from someone, even though he didn't know of anyone that was sick. That afternoon he came home early and went straight to bed. He hadn't eaten anything all day so a couple hours later I brought him some dinner to have in bed. We decided to just stay in bed and watch a movie the rest of the night. About 1/2 way through the movie he asked me to pause it so he could run to the restroom. When he came out he looked at me and said, "that was odd".... so I asked what was odd and he said his poop...so I had him explain it! (Remember, this is for health purposes that I am even sharing this!!!) He said that he had these greenish/brownish things come out. So I asked how long and can he describe it. He said, "about 4 inches, and they look like green beans you pick from the garden". So I asked, "oh, about how many, three or four?" and he said, "um, no, about 15 or more......! And before you ask, no it was not dinner or lunch from the day before! I couldn't tell you how excited I was about this! Him, not so much! Sadly it didn't end there. The next couple of days had him expelling these things and making him quite nervous to go back to work. The aches lasted about 5 days, but then the itching started. That was bad. He was waking up in the middle of the night scratching like he slept in poison ivy. His body was detoxing bad! I introduced him to epsom baths to help and finally, about a month later (yes, it could take some people longer or shorter, depending on their circumstance) he was free of itching.

And how does he feel? AMAZING. His stomach has been completely restored. Whenever he eats, he doesn't get that full bloated feeling, just a feeling of "pleasant fullness". His joint aches and pains are GONE! NO MORE diarrhea or constipation, he lost weight around his midsection, he doesn't have the fatigue he had...However, now he's afraid to eat anything bad for him or that may carry parasites. Sadly, that can't really be avoided too well. What can be done is to continue eating a cleaner diet and definitely do another parasitic cleanse in 6 months.
With all this being said, I do believe that, depending on your medical situation, everyone should partake in at least 2 parasitic cleanses a year if not more. The first one of course could be the doozy, but everything after that should at least be for "maintenance". I say at least two because we are a society of fast food eaters, bottled water drinkers (which aren't all purified/cleaned), dessert/pastry/ice cream lovers, pet owners, barefoot walkers, etc. In addition to that, parasites do reproduce in us. That is why it is recommended to do a 60 days cleanse to kill eggs/larvae. (Parasites can have a 28 day life cycle) You may have also seen I wrote, "depending on your medical situation". I encourage EVERYONE to research parasites and diseases/disorders. I'm not saying anything new here by saying Big Pharma is in the business of money not health, so you're not going to see Big Pharma or western medicine for that matter promote the cleansing of parasites from your body if it means you will become healthy. That's less profit for them. The supplements to cleanse are herbal, not synthetic...not anything that can be patented as nature cannot be patented. This is why you will see warnings on the dangers of herbal supplements. The only thing I can say to that is, do your research, talk with your practitioner if you want, and read about ingredients in the parasitic cleanses.
And as a last note, I want to recommend everyone watch a great video (about 35 minutes long) on Youtube. Remember when I said I was going to order a parasite cleanse, but didn't. This is the one I wanted to order and will probably still order. My Voodoo has a couple different cleansing options and they are tablet forms. I want to try the tincture form. The brand I researched out is this one called Rogers Hood. I linked them for you. The video (linked as well) talks about Kim Rogers journey. And if there is anyone that was sick, it was her!!! Amazing story and just one of the many examples of parasitic existence and the ties to diseases and disorders. Let's just say I am a firm believer cancers and autoimmune disorders are parasitic based...
Watch the video and stop the thief that's literally within you!
